14.05.2012 21:33 maybe but there was a form of Imperator found in Northern Vietnam in the Hue and Tonkin region, which bears a superficial resemblance to hybrids. Some zoos in Japan have these birds. In ancient times there existed a rather common white morph which was brought to Japan in the thousands, but unfortunately they have become extinct. Feral peafowl of Japan are a mix of Sri Lankan Peafowl w/ some Green Peafowl genes.
But I agree these do look like hybrids.

07.10.2010 01:45 @TheDecoyDude Thanks for the offer, I was already offered three young peafowl that the breeder didn't know if they were spaulding or java because the wing bands came off so they were going to sell them to me for $350 (includes shipping and box). I wasn't sure if that was a deal or not and my parents don't want me getting more peafowl for now so yeah...Someday I would like to get one though. :)
